Understand the Whole Picture
Every person has a story, and every behaviour is a form of communication. We take the time to understand the whole picture—not just the behaviour itself. Through comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments and a range of evidence-based assessment tools, we identify the underlying causes, strengths, triggers, and support needs. This allows us to create solutions that are meaningful, practical, and built around the individual.
Tailored Plans That Make a Difference
No two people are the same, which is why every Behaviour Support Plan we develop is tailored to the individual. Whether an Interim Positive Behaviour Support Plan is needed to provide immediate guidance or a Comprehensive Positive Behaviour Support Plan for long-term support, our plans are designed to improve quality of life, build skills, increase independence, and reduce behaviours of concern using positive, person-centred strategies.
Turning Plans into Positive Outcomes
A great plan only works when everyone understands how to use it. We work alongside participants, families, carers, support workers, schools, allied health professionals, and other service providers to bring each plan to life. Through collaboration, practical guidance, ongoing review, and the right assessment tools, we help build confidence, strengthen support networks, and create positive, lasting outcomes for the people we support.
Supporting Positive Change
Real change begins with understanding. At Specialised Support Services, we believe Positive Behaviour Support is about empowering people to live safer, more independent, and more meaningful lives—not simply managing behaviours of concern.
Every Positive Behaviour Support Plan we develop is tailored to the individual, recognising their strengths, goals, relationships, and unique circumstances. Working in partnership with participants, families, carers, support workers, and other professionals, we create practical, evidence-based strategies that build skills, increase independence, strengthen relationships, and improve quality of life.
Our commitment doesn’t end with developing a plan. We work alongside everyone involved to ensure strategies are understood, implemented consistently, and reviewed as needs change. By fostering collaboration, building confidence, and promoting positive environments, we help create lasting outcomes that empower participants to reach their full potential.
Building Better Outcomes Together
Every person deserves the opportunity to live a life of choice, purpose, and possibility. At Specialised Support Services, we believe Positive Behaviour Support is about creating opportunities, building on strengths, and empowering people to achieve meaningful, lasting outcomes.
Our Individualised Positive Behaviour Support Plans are more than strategies on paper—they’re practical, person-centred roadmaps that help participants build skills, increase independence, strengthen relationships, and improve their quality of life. Every plan is tailored to the individual, recognising their goals, aspirations, and the people who matter most to them.
From comprehensive assessment through to implementation, ongoing review, and continuous collaboration, we work alongside participants, families, carers, support workers, and professionals to ensure every strategy is understood, achievable, and effective. Together, we create supportive environments where people feel empowered, valued, and equipped to reach their full potential.
